Deep tunnels

 W.G.4 Long Tunnels at Great Depth

 

Necessity of formation:
Long and deep tunnels are separated from other tunnels because of their acute situations of risk in assessment and management , during designing , manufacturing and operating main factors , making ,this kind of separation are consist of : expenses , time , continuation of work , security , during manufacturing and operation , traits of designing and technology.

This group as equal to working group number 17.ITA.

Purposes:
Examination and analysis of trails special situation and problems of designing, performance and operation of deep and long tunnels.

Function (activities, which are performed and are being performed):
Up to now, the basic problems, which cause the separation of these tunnels from the others, are recognized as in following explanations:
1. investment
2. designing
3. structures
The problems which causes high risks in deep and long tunnels are being collected classified

Working program:
1. Connection with inside and international societies and association specially gw-17 group, international committee of tunnel.
2. Collecting all the datum and information from long and deep tunnels, and preparing their informative file in the way of this group proposes.
3. Collecting the brief history of making deep and long tunnels activities in Iran.
4. Preparing a list from problems and dangerous in the filed of designing. Performing and opera tin of deep and long tunnels and also presenting the solutions and standardizing subject in Iran.
5. Preparation and translation of articles, books and bulletins in the filed of deep and long tunnels.
6. Coordination in holding seminars and delivering speeches or presenting articles in seminars with the name of Iran.
